Clothing for hunting

Appropriate clothing will be very important for the hunter in the bush as well as after hours. Although most clients will arrive in South Africa in our winter months, it is not necessary to bring thick clothing as the temperatures in the Bushveld does not dip that much during these months.
Light jackets and long sleeve shirts will be the best while hunting, and it is not necessary for the camo-type as a khaki-type colour will blend very nicely with the type of vegetation found in the Northern Province. A hat will be an important item while hunting, as it can get very hot later in the day, again a camo- or khaki colouring will work.

Give a lot of attention to the type of foot wear that is brought along. It must be a shoe that has already been walked in for quite a while and does not still cause any discomfort to the wearer. It is not necessary to get a boot for the bush, but rather one that covers the foot to just before the shin starts. Socks should not be the heavy type, as a lot of walking will be done and the feet will need air. More winter clothing must be brought along if much of the hunting will be done in the Free State Province or the Eastern Cape, as it get much colder than further up north.
